Salisbury University announces new initiatives, programs, and formalized graduate school

Salisbury, Md- Salisbury University President Carolyn Lepre made a series of announcement during her second state of the University address on Monday, November 13th.

Some of the new announcements include the addition of three new programs which will become available to students, a new strategic innovation fund which will act as sort of internal grant for students looking to pursue projects, and perhaps most exciting: the announcement of a formalized grad school at Salisbury University.

SU President Carolyn Lepre had this to say about the University making the decision to implement a grad school: “I’m so pleased that our faculty has done it. We have actually voted for the establishment to move forward with a graduate school.”

As for the new programs the University will be adding: students will be able to pursue a new bachelors in music therapy, along with two bachelors programs in engineering, and a new masters program in public communications.

Salisbury University says they plan to have these programs available to students in the 2024-2025 academic year.
