Police arrest wanted man at Laurel apartment complex

1280 Deshields

LAUREL, Del. – A man was arrested early Monday morning following a check at a Laurel apartment complex.

Shortly after 7 a.m., officers were conducting a property check at the Hollybrook Apartments when they located a subject, identified as 54-year-old Tracey Deshields, in the laundry room of the 100 Building. Police say they knew Deshields was barred from the apartments and had an active warrant for failing to register address as a registered sex offender.

When Deshields was taken into custody, police found him to be in possession of crack cocaine and related paraphernalia. He was issued a criminal summons for the drug charges and was turned over to DSP for arraignment on his active warrant.

He was later released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
