Pair arrested for stealing boat in Seaford
SEAFORD, Del. – Two Pennsylvania men were arrested after they allegedly stole a boat from a Seaford residence Tuesday morning.
At around 7:50 a.m., troopers responded to a residence in the 26700 block of Walker Road for a reported theft of a boat and trailer during the overnight hours. It was learned that two unknown suspects had towed the victim’s Sunbird boat, which was secured on a trailer in the driveway. During the investigation, troopers learned that the stolen boat and trailer were seen at the Hampton Inn on Sussex Highway in Seaford.
When troopers responded to the hotel, they found the stolen property, and were able to identify the suspects as 21-year-old Emanuel Carlo and 27-year-old Lucas Giovinco. The pair were taken into custody during a traffic stop in Bridgeville later that day and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, second degree conspiracy, theft under $1500, and third degree criminal trespass.
The pair were released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
