Overnight crash claims lives of two in Dorchester Co.
RHODESDALE, Md. – Maryland State Police say an overnight crash in Dorchester County claimed the lives of two people.
Shortly after 1 a.m., troopers responded to the area of Eldorado Road and Dog Kennel Road for a reported two-vehicle crash. Preliminary investigation revealed that a tractor-trailer was traveling north on Eldorado Road when, for unknown reasons, a Chevrolet crossed the center line and hit the tractor-trailer head on.
The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet, identified as 47-year-old Johnnie Wright Jr., and 47-year-old Michelle Wright, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
The road was closed for over four hours while the crash was investigated and cleared. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
