One injured in weekend shooting in Dover, police investigating

DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that injured one early Sunday morning in the Dover area.

Police were called to Bayhealth Kent Campus just before 3 a.m. for a report of a 44-year-old Dover man who was being treated for gunshot wounds. It was learned that the victim was asleep inside his camper at the back of a residence in the 200 block of North Old Mill Road when an unknown suspect allegedly went inside the camper and shot him. The victim was hit by multiple rounds to his upper body before the suspect fled in an unknown direction.
