One injured in Dover shooting, police investigating
DOVER, Del. – An investigation is underway following a shooting that left one injured Monday afternoon in Dover.
At around 2:15 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Hampton Drive for a reported shooting, locating a 20-year-old Dover man who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body and a graze wound on his lower body. The victim was taken to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Further investigation revealed that the victim arrived home when three suspects were reportedly standing in the area. One of the suspects began firing a handgun at the victim before fleeing toward Redner’s. Arriving officers were not able to locate the suspects.
