Officials look forward to Korean War history event

BERLIN, Md.- The German Town School Community Heritage Center will welcome history buffs, tomorrow, for a Veterans memorial event.

The Veteran Voice: Memories of the Korean War, event is put on by the community center, to help educate the public on the wars of the past.

Event organizer, Karen Prengaman, said people often hear about the wars that affected veterans, but the event will help give folks a better look into what life was like, back then.

“We learn about wars, and we learn about, kind of this big overall who won, who lost, but it’s actually individual people who fought in those wars, and their stories and their experiences are really important,” Prengaman said.

The event will take place from 10-12 pm tomorrow.
