Non-Profit Spotlight: Humane Society of Wicomico County

Wicomico County, Md- The Shore Gives More’s Giving Tuesday event is now just days away on November 28th.

Ahead of the event we are taking a moment to spotlight some of the non-profits which will be participating in the event.

The Humane Society of Wicomico county has been taking care of animals in need for years, and has been a regular contributor to our pet of the day, and Pets on the Plaza segments.

We sat down with Jennifer Hoffman from the Humane Society to learn more about what services the group provides to Wicomico County:

“We take in need in our county and house them temporarily until they can find their forever homes. We also offer a low cost spay and neuter clinic which is very important to our community around here. There are so many cat and dogs in need of spay and neuter services and we have a wonderful vet that makes that happen.”
