Mardela Middle and High school take home the gold in unified tennis championship
MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. – Mardela Middle and High school winning big this week.
The school’s unified tennis team took home the title of state champions. Coach Denise skeen said the win is well deserved, as her players have been practicing for the event all season long.
Players Johnny Jamrock and Sophia Mannices said they were happy to find out about their big win, and even happier that they got to all work together to represent their school.
“I feel very excited and very happy,” Jamrok said.
“I’m honestly very proud of the team, and that we can get to this point and the sportsmanship that we went through,” Mannices added.
Players are already looking forward to the next tennis season.
