Man sentenced to 40 years for rape, sex abuse of minors

SALISBURY, Md. – A Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to four decades behind bars for rape and sex abuse of a minor.

From 2017 through 2021, it is reported that 32-year-old Joseph Duncan sexually and physically abused a minor under the age of 15. In the same time period, Duncan reportedly physically abused another minor under the age of 9.

On Wednesday, Duncan pleaded guilty to sex abuse of a minor, second degree rape, and second degree assault. He was subsequently sentenced to 40 years in prison and will be subject to lifetime sex offender supervision. He will also be required to register as a Tier III Sex Offender for life.
