Man arrested in connection to multiple armed robberies in Easton

EASTON, Md. – Easton Police have arrested a suspect in connection to multiple armed robberies.

During the late night hours of November 24th, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 410 Washington Street for a reported armed robbery. The store employee told police that a man came behind the counter while displaying a knife and demanded money. The suspect stole an unknown amount of money and fled the store. The employee was not injured.

On November 26th, officers responded to the Crown Gas Station at 301 N. Washington Street for another armed robbery report. It was learned that a man had walked into the store with a knife, demanded money, and fled after stealing an unknown amount of money. The employee was not harmed.

Through the investigation, police were able to develop 34-year-old Javontay Nichols as the suspect in these robberies. Nichols was also linked to a robbery on June 24th at the same 7-Eleven.

Nichols was subsequently charged with three counts of armed robbery, three counts of robbery, three counts each of first and second degree assault, three counts of reckless endangerment, three counts of false imprisonment, two counts of theft $100 to $1500, one count of theft $1500 to $25000, and three counts of dangerous weapon conceal.
