Kent Island takes down North Caroline; moves on to the State Quarterfinals

RIGDELY, Md.- Kent Island moves on to the 2A State Quarterfinals after beating North Caroline 28-14. The Buccaneers took over the game during the third quarter, forcing two turnovers and scoring 14 straight points to claim the victory.

On their first drive out of halftime, the Bulldogs fumbled the ball in their own territory, and Kent Island Running Back Shane Bogardus scored on the ensuing possession it 14-7. Then after forcing a three and out, Buccaneers Quarterback Gavan Henry scored a touchdown to make it 21-7  early in the third quarter. 

But North Caroline would lose the game when fumbling the kickoff return, giving North Caroline another short field. Bogardus would score another touchdown to push the lead to 21.

North Caroline ends their season with an 8-2 record.
