Kent Co. fatal hit and run under investigation

FARMINGTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a hit and run crash that claimed the life of a Milton woman Thursday evening.

At around 6:45 p.m., police say an unknown vehicle was traveling northbound on South Dupont Highway, south of Main Street, in Farmington. A woman was reportedly standing in the middle of the northbound lane when she was hit by the vehicle. The vehicle did not stop, fleeing from the scene.

The pedestrian, a 33-year-old Milton woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of family and relatives.
