Joggers gather for seventh annual Turkey Trot at YMCA

SALISBURY, Md. – The seventh annual YMCA Turkey Trot is back.

Dozens of runners gathered at the starting line at 8:30, Thursday morning, to get to jogging for a great cause.

The marathon helps raise funds for different departments within the facility. Director of Membership, Jill Fears, said she looks forward to watching the runners cross the finish line, every year, knowing their participation helps uplift the YMCA.

“The money actually helps a lot of our programs, here, at the Y,” Fears said. “Some of it is scholarships for members in our community who need a little extra help being able to come here, and some of it goes to things like fourth grade water safety.”
