Indian River advances to DIAA State Semifinals

DAGSBORO, Del.- Indian River survives a late rally from the Brandywine Bulldogs to hold on to a 14-10 victory in the DIAA 1A State Quarterfinals. After they took an 14-3 lead at halftime, IR struggled to put away the Bulldogs. Brandywine forced a fumble from IR Quarterback Dylan Grise that set up a touchdown at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Down four with 30 seconds left from the IR seven-yard line, the Bulldogs had one final shot to score but IR’s Rashad Hopkins made the defensive stop to seal the win for Indian River. IR now goes on the road to face top-seeded Tatnall in the 1A State Semifinals.
