SNOW HILL, Md. – With giving season now in full swing, Worcester County GOLD hopes you’re already in the giving spirit as they’re seeking donations for their Helping Hands for the Holidays program.

It provides gifts annually for as many as 500 kids and 60 vulnerable adults in need.

Community members and organizations can sign up to shop for a recipient or they can donate money which will be used to purchase gifts. Shoppers are provided with a child’s name, age, gender and their wish lists.

Gift donations can include toys $50 and under.

Director Nick Cranford told 47ABC those requests come from several agencies they partner with and play a big role in providing local families with holiday cheer. “This program is extremely important to be able to give a local mother that feeling of providing gifts for their children at the holidays. This way they can keep some money to help make sure the lights are on, the house is warm, and that they have a nice meal. We don’t want them to stress,”

Toy are donations are being accepted through December 8th. The physical address is 201 River St. in Snow Hill.

Monetary donations are accepted year-round and can be mailed to PO Box 335.
