Habitat for Humanity to use Giving Tuesday funds for new facility
WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Habitat for Humanity will participate in Giving Tuesday, this season.
The organization is taking part in the annual event to raise funds for one of their new buildings that they’re renovating into a thrift shop.
Director of development, Christina Williams, said with the growing population, the new building will make a big difference in the area.
“Funding from Giving Tuesday will be used to pay for part of the building, helping us get building materials, paying contractors, making sure that we get the building up, and so we can get it running and stocked, with as full as many people as possible,” Williams said.
If you’d like to donate to the Habitat for Humanity, or any other organization in the area, the donation portal will be live on November 28th.
