Habitat for Humanity bringing new building to the community
WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County is expanding their mission.
The organization was able to raise enough funds to purchase a new building, to offer more services to the community.
Director of development, Christina Wiliams, said with this addition, they will be able to bring a second thrift store to the Delmarva community, and with the growing population that they serve, the new addition will come in handy for those in need.
“We’re kind of bursting at the seams. We’re growing, our mission is growing, so we bought that and we’re renovating it,” Williams said. “Those funds are going to go to that, and we’ll have a second store location within that building as well, so we’ll be serving two parts of Wicomico County.”
The new facility is expected to be open by next summer.
