LEWES, Del. – A Greenwood man was arrested for shoplifting earlier this week.

Just after 10 a.m. Monday, troopers were called to the Home Depot in Lewes for a reported shoplifting. It was learned that a man wearing a brown sweatshirt had stolen items valued at more than $1,500 and fled the store in a red two-tone pickup truck. A trooper on patrol on Coastal Highway in the area of Westcoats Road observed a vehicle that matched the description of the one in the shoplifting incident.

A traffic stop was initiated and the driver, identified as 52-year-old Michael Stulir, was taken into custody. He was charged with shoplifting over $1500 and later released on his own recognizance.
