Eastern Shore Classic Dog Show returns to Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – Tomorrow is day two of the Eastern Shore Classic Dog Show, where local pooches are ramping up their skills to impress the judges.

The dog show has been coming to the Wicomico County Civic Center for over a decade.

The competition gives owners a chance to groom their pups to the T, and the dogs also have the opportunity to show off their cool tricks.

Competition chair, April Clyde, said the event is always fun for her, because she gets to see all of the different dog breeds.

“It’s wonderful for anyone who likes dogs, because we’re an all-breed dog show, and we have three types of competition going,” Clyde said. “All the breeds are judged against a written standard, and we have many breeds approved. Of the 10 AKC breeds, many of them are here, represented.

The competition is free, at the Wicomico Civic Center.
