SALISBURY, Md. – A Delmar man has been convicted of charges stemming from a 2022 drug investigation.
On August 31, 2022, Salisbury Police officers executed a search and seizure warrant at 613 Truitt Street in Salisbury. Police searched a white Volvo parked behind the residence, which led to the recovery of a large amount of heroin, a large amount of fentanyl, and a loaded handgun. Officers also found documents with Japree Ayers name and phone number.
Last week, Ayres was convicted of three counts of possession of a large amount of controlled dangerous substances, three counts of possession with the intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances, and related charges.
Sentencing was postponed so a pre-sentence investigation could be completed. Ayres remains in custody pending sentencing.
