Delmar field hockey wins 8th straight Division-II title

NEWARK, Del. – They were “Motiv8ted” to get number eight, and Delmar accomplished their goal Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats defeated Newark Charter, 6-0, to win the DIAA Division-II field hockey championship.
Jordyn Hollamon was once again the star of the show. Hollamon scored the first four goals for the Wildcats, with three of them assisted by Emily Bitters. Bitters later added a goal of her own.
Delmar won in shutout fashion, but also did not allow a shot on goal, or a penalty corner in the championship game.
Seniors Jordyn Bunting, Abygail Jamison, Brook Morris, Baylie Phillips, Regan Wells, and Bitters leave the Delmar program as state champions.
