UPDATE: Crash claims life of 75-year-old Frankford woman

FRANKFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that claimed the life of a Frankford woman Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the crash happened at around 1:30 p.m. Investigation revealed that a 2018 Chevrolet Trax was traveling northbound on Dupont Boulevard, approaching Frankford Avenue, when the vehicle reportedly veered off the east edge of the road and hit the side of a house.

The driver, a 75-year-old Frankford woman, was taken to an area hospital, where we’re told she died from her injuries later that night. Her identity is being withheld until her family is notified.

The residents of the home were not injured.
