Corner Grill closing, owner looks back on her decade in business

SALISBURY, Md. – For 10 years, the corner grill has been a family-favorite restaurant in Salisbury. But now, the owner says her culinary journey is coming to an end.

“I feel like it’s just time,” said owner Nicole Green.

Green has been serving her family recipes to the Salisbury community for a decade.
Now, she says it’s time to go down a different path.

“For the last 10 years, we’ve gone through, you know, different people and different seasons,” Green says. “Being able to make it work, until it started to interfere with my job.”

Green is a full-time lawyer, so the Corner Grill became a passion project. She says the bonds she was able to create at her restaurant are priceless.

“It’s just a part of my extended family,” Green said. “I mean, if you if you saw some of the comments on Facebook, when I posted the closing, employees were saying how much they enjoyed it here.”

While the Corner Grill will be officially closing its doors on December 2nd, Green said she’s considering giving out one of her favorite recipes, something the community can remember her by.

“I’ll miss all these people– they’ve all wanted my crab soup recipe. I mean, everybody’s asked for that and I said, ‘Well, we’ll see about that,” Green said.
