Beebe Healthcare increases donation milestone

SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. – Beebe Healthcare surpassed their donation goal of $22.5 million in donations, and they’re increasing the funding milestone.

Because of the outpour in support from their donors, Beebe Healthcare’s gift officer, David Szumski, said they decided to increase the donation amount, so they can bring much needed medical centers to the community.

He adds all of the donations will help bring medicine residents to the care of patients, so they can learn how to treat them in a healthcare environment.

“By increasing this goal, we’re actually going to start construction on a new clinic in Longneck, for our family medicine residency students, to actually see patients,” Szumski said.

Szumski adds that the medicine residents will be able to see 1,000 patients a year.
