Annual chili cook-off raises funds to support needy families this holiday season
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Worcester County GOLD is bringing back its annual Chili Cookoff for a good cause.
As part of the non-profit’s event, you can donate a new, unwrapped toy or $10 cash. That will give you access to drink specials and unlimited samples of chili from 12 local restaurants, including The Sterling Tavern, The Globe, and more.
Funds raised will go to the support the nonprofits Helping Hands for the Holidays program.
Organizers said this year will be a special one as it marks the 25th anniversary. “I think it’s a mixture of the restaurants that really get into it and the supporters that just really want to come out and give to a worthy cause,” Worcester County GOLD Executive Director Nicholas Cranford said.
The event will take place at the Greene Turtle in West Ocean City this Sunday, December 3rd from 12:30 – 4:30 pm.
