Trespassing investigation leads to arrest of wanted Md. man

LAUREL, Del. – A trespassing investigation Sunday night led to the arrest of a wanted Maryland man in Laurel.

Just before 10 p.m. Sunday, an officer on patrol was conducting a patrol check at Laurel River Park when they saw an occupied vehicle in the park, which is closed after sunset and has posted “No Trespassing” signs. The officer made contact with the two occupants of the vehicle, a 27-year-old Seaford woman and 28-year-old Vincent Robins. Police say Robins became disorderly and refused to identify himself, leading police to detain him in order to properly identify him. He reportedly briefly physically resisted arrest while still refusing to identify himself.

After a significant amount of time, police were able to identify Robins as the subject, at which time it was discovered that he had a failure to appear capias for a 2023 Delmar PD resisting arrest case and an active felony burglary warrant issued by the Federalsburg, Maryland Police Department.

Robins was charged with resisting arrest and trespassing. He was released on his own recognizance for the new charges but held at SCI on his active warrants.

We’re told the female subject fully cooperated with the investigation and was not charged with any crime. She was released with a trespassing warning.
