TidalHealth Foundation launches new SPARK campaign, push to build up local physician workforce

SALISBURY, Md. – The Tidal Health Foundation recently went public on a new $5 million campaign. Campaign SPARK looks to train and support the next generation of physicians.

TidalHealth Peninsula Regional CEO Steve Leonard says it’s still quite a challenge to hire and recruit physicians.

The foundation has already reached the halfway mark of its goal and is now looking to the community to help get across the finish line.

Funds raised will go to support TidalHealth’s Graduate Medical Education program. “We want to train folks locally and provide the education necessary to ultimately become a part of our team and now that’s true with physicians as well. These are folks who’ve completed medical school and they come back to the eastern shore for training at Tidal Health and they stay local,” Leonard said.

To donate, you can visit the TidalHealth Foundation’s website or call 410-543-7140.
