Third suspect arrested in connection to August homicide in Easton

EASTON, Md. – A third suspect has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of an Easton man back in August.

Just after 7 p.m. on August 7th, officers responded to 104 Blake Street for a report of a person who had just been shot and was lying in the grass. Officers and paramedics rendered aid to the victim, 55-year-old Ty Brooks, but he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

Further investigation revealed that earlier in the day, Brooks had gotten into an argument with individuals nearby, who were driving a 2018 Land Rover Range Rover, parked in the area of the 100 block of Blake Street. Brooks left the area in a vehicle, later returning operating an ATV, and confronted the same individuals with a shotgun. After words were said, police say 22-year-old Daseir Cornish, who was sitting in the driver seat of the Range Rover, fired shots through the front passenger seat window and hit Brooks on his side. After he was shot, Brooks fell off the ATV, and the Range Rover fled the scene, accompanied by a gray Hyundai sedan.

Police say while they were trying to secure the crime scene, another suspect, identified as 59-year-old Dana Wilson, walked to the area where Cornish had shot Brooks and took his cell phone, which Cornish reportedly dropped. Wilson then left the area with the cell phone.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Wilson, who was taken into custody on Thursday. She has been charged with accessory after the fact to second degree murder, altering physical evidence, and obstructing and hindering a police officer.

Cornish and another suspect, Raheem Green, were arrested back in August.
