Sen. Chris Van Hollen comments on Israel and Palestine conflict

MD. – Some local lawmakers are supporting the Biden administration’s stance on the Israel and Palestine conflict.

Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen says lawmakers are working to support Israel following the attack by terrorist group Hamas.
the senator also agrees with the president – that israel must adhere to the rules of war and humanitarian protections as the fighting continues.

“In Maryland, we have everybody still reeling from the impact of this conflict.”

“One, Help Israel defend itself against Hamas and the terror it has wrought on Israel and also wanting to make sure that as they prosecute the war in Gaza, that they do it in accordance to the rules of war.”

Senator Van Hollen says that the most important thing is keeping the innocent civilians in the war zone as safe as possible.
