Selbyville business destroyed in weekend fire, investigation underway

SELBYVILLE, Del. – An investigation is underway following a fire that destroyed a Selbyville business early Saturday morning.
The blaze was reported shortly before 4 a.m. in the unit block of Mason Drive, near the Delaware-Maryland state line. Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company firefighters responded to find heavy fire showing at the Red Sun Custom Apparel Shop. Mutual aid fire companies also responded to assist.
Delaware State Fire Marshals are currently investigating the cause and origin of the fire. The building was not occupied at the time of the blaze, and no injuries were reported. We’re told damage is expected to exceed $750,000.
