Salisbury University students not looking forward to student loan payments
SALISBURY, MD. – With student loan payments back in full effect, some Salisbury University students aren’t too thrilled with all of the added stress it brings.
SU senior, Seren Gross, has already started making some of her student loan payments.
Gross said between the loans themselves and the pressure to secure a job, she wishes the government could have put another brief pause on the repayments, for seniors like herself.
“They don’t need the money. They don’t need the money. I would’ve preferred for the student loans to be halted, or at least be forgiven, to a gracious amount,” Gross said.
While Gross knows she’ll have to pay her dues until the balance is zero, she added that she thinks the government should have forgiven student loans for the time being, given the current job market.
