Salisbury University preparing college grads for the workforce
SALISBURY, Md. – To college students about to graduate, there are a number of things they can do to prepare for joining the workforce.
Salisbury University’s career services coaches work one on one with students to help build resumes, cover letters and hold mock interviews.
The coaches say students can depend on them for any kind of preparation and practice they would need to be confident when starting their first career job outside of college.
“Getting that practice when doing a mock job interview or having someone read your resume and getting a second set of eyes is really important so students feel comfortable, confident and prepared as they go to do their interviews and to reach out to employers.”
Kimberly Fabbri-Greener with Career Services says students can also set up informational interviews with companies they are interested in working for, that way they know what to expect on a day-to-day basis.
