Salisbury Police investigating fatal accident, crash causes power outages in the area

SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened overnight. Officials say the crash involved one vehicle in the area of South Salisbury Boulevard and Lloyd Street. The crash happened around 12:30AM. No word yet on how many people were in the vehicle, or how many injuries at this time.

Wicomico County Emergency Services announced on Facebook Saturday morning that parts of Route 13 would be shutdown indefinitely due to the accident. Multiple businesses in the area reported power outages from downed power lines. Some businesses, like Taylor’s BBQ, reported delayed openings because of the outages. Just before 11AM, Delmarva Power’s outage map showed 176 customers affected by the outage in that area. As of 1:30PM all outages were resolved.
