Salisbury man arrested following drug bust

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man was arrested earlier this month following a drug investigation.

The investigation involved 30-year-old Devonte Baine, who was allegedly distributing controlled dangerous substances from two residences in Wicomico County. As a result, on October 12th, police executed search and seizure warrants at a residence in the 1000 block of Tuscola Avenue and 100 block of Second Street in Salisbury. Police located Baine in front of the Tuscola Avenue residence and discovered that he was in possession of cocaine.

During the search of the residences, police found 1.21 grams of crack cocaine, 28.40 grams of compressed powder cocaine, 1.52 grams of heroin, 19 oxycodone pills, 4 digital scales, and ammunition.

Baine is prohibited from possessing ammunition due to previous convictions. He was charged with multiple drug offenses and was later released pending trial.
