Robbery investigation leads to arrest of Bridgeville man
SEAFORD, Del. – Police have charged a Bridgeville man in connection to a robbery that took place Thursday evening in Seaford.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m., officers with the Seaford Police Department and Delaware State Police responded to Blades for a reported robbery. It was reported by the victim that he was picked up by an associate and driven to the Royal Farms located on High Street in Seaford. The victim was then driven to the area of N. Front Street and Poplar Street, with another subject, later identified as 31-year-old Shawn Warren.
While in the vehicle, the victim noticed that Warren had what appeared to be a firearm, at which time Warren reportedly made the victim give him his book bag, which contained personal property, a cell phone, and money.
The victim told police that he was able to track the cell phone’s location, which indicated that the phone was at 221 N. Front Street in Seaford. Police responded to the residence and found a subject wearing a red jacket who told them his name was “Shawn”. He was detained, and further investigation revealed that Warren had a black BB gun in his waistband, the victim’s wallet with identification, and the victim’s cell phone.
Warren was charged with second degree robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia and given a $6,200 secured bond.
