UPDATE: Police recover body of missing Denton man
1:40 p.m. UPDATE: Police say they have recovered the body of Alvin Ciprich.
At around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Caroline County Department of Emergency Services received a 911 call for a reported drowning in the 25900 block of Hignutt Road in Denton. Officials arrived at the scene and found a male, confirmed to be Ciprich, deceased in a pond approximately a quarter mile off the roadway.
Ciprich was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.

DENTON, Md. – The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a critically missing person.
Police say 61-year-old Alvin Ciprich was last seen in the 25500 block of Hignutt Road at around 11 p.m. Monday. Ciprich suffers from Alzheimer’s and may be non-verbal. He is approximately 6′ tall, 300 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and an orange shirt.
Ciprich is believed to be on foot.
