Milford wins defensive struggle with Laurel 15-6
MILFORD, Del- Milford’s defense took over in the second half, holding Laurel scoreless over the final two quarters as the Buccaneers beat the Bulldogs 15-6. Milford Running Back DenNare Horsey scored the first touchdown for the Bucs midway through the second quarter to make it 7-0.
Laurel responded thanks to the efforts of Xavier Limehouse on the ground. He made the score 7-6 with less than two minutes left in the game before the Bucs retaliated.
Milford Quarterback John Hudson found Jaleel Freshwater wide open in the middle of the field and Freshwater ran 40 yards for the touchdown to close out the first half. Milford then went for the two-point conversion to grant the Bucs a 15-6 lead.
Neither team scored in the second half, giving the Bucs the win.
