Milford man arrested on 5th DUI
GREENWOOD, Del. – A Milford man was charged with his 5th DUI and other related offenses Monday night.
At around 9 p.m., a trooper on patrol in the area of Unity Lane and Deep Branch Road saw a man driving a black Dodge pickup truck. It was discovered through a computer check that the owner of the vehicle, 32-year-old Dwayne Waltman, had a revoked driver’s license. After verifying that the driver matched the description of the owner, a traffic stop was conducted, during which the driver reportedly threw drug paraphernalia out the window.
The driver was confirmed to be Waltman, who showed signs of impairment. Field sobriety tests led to the arrest of Waltman, and a search of the truck led to the discovery of additional drug paraphernalia.
Waltman was charged with 5th offense DUI, tampering with evidence, criminal solicitation, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while revoked. He was later released on his own recognizance.
