Jury convicts Wicomico Co. man of numerous sex offenses involving a minor

SALISBURY, Md. – A Wicomico County man has been convicted by a jury of numerous sex offenses.

59-year-old Robert Hill Jr., was convicted on Thursday of two counts of sex abuse of a minor, two counts of second degree rape, three counts of third degree sex offense, three counts of fourth degree sex offense, and four counts of second degree assault.

The charges stem from an investigation that revealed that from 2018 through 2021, Hill sexually abused a minor under the age of 11.

Sentencing was deferred so that a mandatory pre-sentence investigation and mental health assessment could be conducted. Hill will remain in custody pending sentencing.
