Greenwood man arrested for theft of light poles
ELLENDALE, Del. – A Greenwood man has been charged after it was discovered he stole two light poles from an Ellendale property last week.
During the afternoon hours of October 18th, troopers responded to a residence in the 15000 block of Rocking Way for a reported theft. The 73-year-old homeowner met with police to report that two 40-foot light poles were stolen from his property.
Through further investigation, police were able to identify the suspect as 55-year-old Richard Boyd. On Monday, troopers were notified by Georgetown Probation and Parole that they had Boyd in custody. He was turned over to troopers and charged with theft greater than $1500 where victim is 62 years and older and second degree conspiracy. He was late released on his own recognizance.
