Former Del. Girl Scout treasurer charged with felony theft following investigation
FRANKFORD, Del. – A Frankford woman has been charged with felony theft following an investigation that began early this year.
In late January, Delaware State Police met with local Girl Scout Troop representatives in regards to a theft, with the former treasurer of the troop being identified as 52-year-old Kelly Raab.
A ten-month investigation revealed that Raab had issued and cashed fraudulent checks and made unauthorized payment card transactions during her time as treasurer with the Girl Scouts from January 2018 through November 2022. The total loss amounted to over $12,000.
Raab reportedly turned herself in last week and was charged with theft over $1500. She was later released on her own recognizance.
