Fire causes $1 million in damage at Easton fast food restaurant, investigation underway

EASTON, Md. – Fire marshals are investigating a fire that broke out at an Easton fast food restaurant early Thursday morning.

At around 1:50 a.m., crews responded to the KFC/Taco Bell located at 8091 Ocean Gateway for a 911 call from employees at the neighboring Wawa. Firefighters arrived and were able to extinguish the blaze quickly, however, the fire resulted in a complete loss to the building. Damage is estimated at approximately $1 million.

The origin and cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
