Fifth annual Tunnel to Towers 5K to return to Lewes, De

LEWES, Del. – The Tunnel to Towers 5K run is less than a month away, and officials are already looking forward to the event.

The 5K is back in Delmarva for its fifth year, and it’s bringing awareness to the sacrifices that first responders make in the line of duty.

Tunnel to Towers event director, Brian Brubaker, said for those who aren’t able to make it home to their families, the organization wants to honor them.

“We recognize that these are American heroes that go out and keep our country safe,” Brubaker said. “Sometimes, they may not come home, so we want to honor those who serve our country.”

The run will be held in at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, Delaware, on November 18th. Registration is open now.
