Delmarva Community Services to receive funding through Statewide Transit Innovation Grant program

MARYLAND – The Maryland Department of Transportation has announced the award of three Statewide Transit Innovation Grants, including one Eastern Shore location.

Delmarva Community Services is set to receive a total of $122,622 from this funding. We’re told the money will be used to install a propane filling station for future propane-powered vehicles, which will help DCS transition to a low-emission vehicle fleet, decreasing the environmental impact of operations and extending the life of its vehicle fleet.

The Statewide Transit Innovation Grant Program has distributed more than $3 million to fund a total of 20 projects since its launch in 2018.
