Delmar wins Henlopen Conference Championship

DELMAR, Del.– Delmar defeated Smyrna 6-0 on Saturday morning to win the Henlopen conference championship.

Delmar came out the gate red hot with 2 goals from junior Jordyn Hollamon. Delmar would go into the half with a 2-0 lead.

Hollamon would record her 3rd goal of the game off a corner shot to make 3-0 with 7 minutes to go in the 3rd. Senior Emily Bitters, Junior Laela Brown, and Freshman Hailey Ritchey would all record a goal to make it 6-0 Wildcats.

The Henlopen conference championship game marked Smyrna’s first loss of the season, finishing with an overall record of 15-1. Delmar finished with an overall record of 14-2.
