Delmar Police issue traffic advisory for funeral of Carter Figgs

DELMAR, Del. – Delmar Police say motorists should expect delays this Sunday, October 15th, for the funeral of Carter Figgs.

Drivers should expect serious delays in the area of E. State Street from Route 13 to Bi-State Boulevard from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. All traffic moving east and west will be stopped while the procession moves from Delmar High School to St. Stevens Cemetery, beginning at around 2 p.m. Traffic turning left onto State Street coming west into town will also be stopped.

Travel will still be possible north and south on Bi-State Boulevard as well as Route 13.

Officials are suggesting that anyone traveling to or from locations within the Town of Delmar adjust their routes.
