Delaware’s Watershed Photo Contest is starting Friday
De. – If you’re a professional photographer, or think you just have a good eye, Delaware’s Watershed Photo Contest is starting tomorrow.
The contest is being hosted by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environment Control. They’re inviting participants to take photos of the First State’s beautiful and diverse environment.
DNREC says they are using this contest as a vivid reminder that everything that happens on land directly affects what happens in our waterways.
Steve Williams with the Division of Watershed Stewardship of DNREC says, “It offers so many dynamic environments to capture.”
“That is what we want the people participating in this contest to do is capture the Natural Beauty of Delaware where they know it to exist.”
A judging panel will determine finalists, and post their work to DNREC’s website. The public will vote on the winning picture. The winner gets a 250 dollar visa gift card, a 2023 state parks annual pass, a print of their photograph and lastly, a certificate signed by Governor John Carney.
