Chipman Elementary teacher honored as October Teacher Who Makes a Difference

SALISBURY, Md. -Congratulations are in order for our monthly Teacher Who Makes a Difference. October’s educator is Mrs. Katina Hubert from Charles H. Chipman Elementary School in Salisbury.

Mrs. Hubert is a Pre-k 3 teacher at Chipman Elementary who’s now in her 27th year as an educator. Teaching is actually in her blood as she told us she comes from a line of family educators.

She added that she doesn’t do any of this for the recognition or awards, but simply because she’s passionate about helping students learn. She told 47ABC that this moment wouldn’t have been possible without her village which includes her family, school community, and of course her beloved students. “No matter how I feel when getting up in the morning, I know that when I come through this door and my babies come in, we’re going to have a blast. All the aches and pains are out the door,” Mrs. Hubert said.

“I always tease my principal that I’m going to leave in three years when I make it to year 30. I may never be able to leave this because I just love it so much.”

The Teacher Who Makes a Difference award is brought to you in part by Pam Price and Associates. They helped us surprise the teacher with goodies, flowers, and a certificate.
