Capitals visit eastern shore ahead of season opener

EASTON, Md. – Washington’s NHL team paid a visit to the eastern shore of Maryland in the days leading up to their season opening game with the division rival Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Capitals had an unusually long lay off between their final preseason game and their first regular season game. So Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery decided it was the perfect time for his players to get away for a few days for some team-building activities.

There were a couple of team dinners, a round of golf, and some crab picking.

Wednesday morning the Caps made their way to the local ice skating rink for a team practice.
